The project “It’s time to pull the curtain – Plastic on stage!” culminated in an exhibition during the 2023 Milan Design Week. The initiative aimed to provoke critical reflection on the use of plastic in design, highlighting both its potential and the issues associated with its widespread and often indiscriminate use.
The exhibition featured ten everyday objects made of plastic, selected for their mass production and market availability. Each item was presented as an example of how plastic can be used responsibly and thoughtfully in design. The goal was not merely to showcase products, but to spark a conversation on sustainable design practices and the importance of mindful material use.
Plastic on stage! serves as a call to reconsider the use of plastic in design, encouraging a more reflective and responsible approach that takes into account the environmental and social implications of design choices.
